FALL 2017

Peace Corps Response

In August of 2017, our Executive Director, Ani Hawkinson, begins her sabbatical in order to work in Rwanda as a Peace Corps Response volunteer in the field English Language Education. This is the first example of HeartSong's expanded mission that now includes helping to build integral community health in the international sector. Rwanda's 2020 development plan includes a conversion of all education from French to English. In order to contribute to this endeavor, HeartSong is suspending U.S. activities so that Dr. Hawkinson can contribute her expertise at the University of Rwanda. Please check back later for a link to her blog where she will keep us apprised of her volunteer work over the coming year.
